Bagels have been available for breakfast when children arrive at school for a few years now. This week we added cereal as an alternative option, which is proving to be very popular!
Our Year 6 Breakfast Monitors are doing a great job supporting children with pouring their cereal and milk which is particularly helpful for our younger children. They also have the responsibility of returning the used bowls and spoons to the kitchen for washing.
We know that children learn best when their tummies are full and they find it difficult to concentrate when they are hungry! Whether there was nothing available in the house to eat, they didn't have time or they just prefer to eat breakfast at school with their friends, a FREE breakfast is available to ALL children when they arrive at school. It is an important part of our morning routine.
